How do I order a grab?

When and how do I pay?
All orders are paid for at the time of booking. We accept payment by all major credit cards except American Express. We do not accept cash.
What is a Grab hire?
Grab lorries are used to clear a large amount of waste from areas that are difficult to reach by using their hydraulic arm.
How much access do I need for a grab lorry?
The grab lorry is approximately 10ft wide and 13ft high. To make sure the lorry can get onto your site you must ensure that there is sufficient access.
What material can I put in a grab lorry?
Grab lorries can hold a variety of materials including soil, muck, concrete, clay, sand, chalk and tarmac.
How much can a grab lorry hold?
The grab lorry can hold approximately 15.5 tonnes of waste.
How long will the grab take to load?
Providing the waste is set out in one place, it will take around 15 minutes to load soil and approximately 30 minutes for hardcore.
How far can the grab lorry reach?
Grab lorries can reach up to 6 meters.
Where do I leave my waste for a grab lorry?
You must ensure that your waste is positioned in a place that allows the driver to easily access it. We advise that you do not place the waste near cables or low hanging tree branches.
Will the grab cause damage to my property?
Although our grab drivers are very experienced, there is always the risk of damage being caused on site. To reduce this risk, we would recommend that you ensure your property can hold the weight of an HGV. Where possible, we suggest putting your waste onto wooden boards so the grab bucket doesn’t have contact with the floor.
